Metro Nashville Turns 50!

Today is a joyous celebration for Nashville’s 50th birthday! Downtown will be a buzz with music and fun in the afternoon and in the morning a cool art installation will be unveiled on Deaderick Street. It is all very exciting for this native…well, native since she was three. I have seen this town change and grow from a small, not much to do, no good restaurants, no good events ever come here to this city to a WORLD CLASS CITY. I am proud to be a Nashvillian and to share this year with her, having turned 50 myself in February. So many stories to tell and to be told.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Such sadness fell over my house a week ago last Friday as my best friend, Bear departed the world for a life of no pain, fields of flowers and rainbows. Bear and I shared a fabulous life together for 15 years. He was a sweet soul who loved everyone and every dog and even every cat. The afternoon before he went on his journey a beautiful storm came through complete with gorgeous colors and a rainbow. How appropriate for my sweet friend. I will miss you Mr. Bear and you will forever be in my heart. With love, Mom.
