Every year the wisteria blooms and the bees come! Sweet smelling purple blossoms, drunk bees buzzing around our heads. We celebrate this event every year with a party under the wisteria featuring snacks and mojitos. It is perfection!!
Last Saturday was the Backstage Pass for the giraffe barn. The Nashville Zoo offers these backstage passes for people to see where some of the animals spend their nights and to see how much work the zookeepers do to keep these guys in healthy environments. We were able to feed Congo, the resident male giraffe, carrots and sweet potatoes. This was fun. Congo, being hand raised is very comfortable with humans. The girl giraffes are much more aloof. After the tour I stayed at the zoo all day and witnessed some really cool things!
Yesterday, Tuesday April 5th was the first in a series of lunch time musical performances from Music City Roots at the Whole Foods in Green Hills. What a great way to spend one’s lunch on a Tuesday! Listening to fabulous music at the grocery store!! Yesterday at the cafe at Whole Foods was groovin’ to the sounds of the soulful Blue Mother Tupelo.
