Yesterday was the last day before Daylight Savings Time. Can we get an AMEN!! While I love the morning and getting up early this means that I can catch more sunrises and sunsets. On my way home from Bluegrass Underground yesterday afternoon the sunset was just jaw-dropping, you just might wreck, distracting thing of beauty. I kept seeing a huge orange ball between trees but could never quite get it when I would pull off onto an exit. I think maybe I need a driver so I can ride and take moving pictures and not wreck my car. I did go to the Alexandria exit on I-40 in Tennessee and caught these beauties.

Nature as art! What waits for the warm weather and brings happiness to us once it is warmer! This weekend here in Nashville our temps reached the mid 60′s. In the side yard of a neighbor’s house on Riverside I saw these little beauties coming out to bask in the warmth and sunshine. Thank you for such a lovely, artful gift!
Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the Tomasinian crocus (crocus tomasinianus). A beautiful pinkish/purple flower with little orange stigmas that look like itty bitty daffodils. They grow to 4 inches tall.
